After Anthony Dufort, Jesmonite bronzed portrait bust of Pilot Officer John Gillespie Magee (1922-1941), on hardwood square section pedestal base. John Gillespie Magee Junior, (19th June 1922 - 11th December 1941), was a WWII Anglo-American Royal Canadian Airforce Fighter Pilot and Poet, who wrote the poem 'High Flight'. He was killed in an accidental mid-air collision over England in 1941. Further Service History of this Pilot included with the Lot. Overall 21cm high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT)
